The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) and bp have discussed transition to 'green' energy, Azerbaijan's Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov said in a post on the social network X, according to Report.
The minister noted that together with Rovshan Najaf, the President of SOCAR, and colleagues, they held a meeting with Murray Anchincloss, the CEO of bp.
"Our discussions centered on reviewing the outcomes of our bilateral cooperation and exploring opportunities for further collaboration. We also delved into joint initiatives in the realms of greenenergy transition, decarbonization, as well as exploration and production. bp reiterated its dedication to strengthening the existing partnership with Azerbaijan and expressed keen interest in participating in renewable energy projects," Mikayil Jabbarov said.
