Three legal drafts in the form of Resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers concerning the international transportation of passengers and cargos (digital tachographs) prepared by the ACE legal expert were duly approved by the Cabinet of Ministers on December 24, 2010.
Under the Project Support to the NCU and PCA implementation in Azerbaijan, Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 24th of December with the Regulation #244 has approved the Regulations of card system of digital tachographs and the Rules of activity of service centers on installation, control, repairs, testing, calibration and technical maintenance of tachographs.
Under the Decision, card system is regulated by the Ministry of Transport. It also prints cards for digital tachographs and puts them into circulation. Such cards have validity of 5 years and are issued to persons staying in the country’s territory for at least 182 days a year.
