The Ministry of Energy has signed new documents with UK's BP and Masdar of the United Arab Emirates at a special session on "Path to Zero: Development of Green Energy Potential in the Karabakh and East Zangazur Economic Regions" held in Shusha today as part of the Baku Energy Forum.
One of them is the Addendum to the Cooperation Agreement, which was signed by Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and BP Regional President Gary Jones, according to Report.
Another document is the Executive Agreement, which was also signed by Shahbazov and Fawaz Al Muharrami, acting CEO of Masdar Clean Energy.
Azerbaijan's contribution to Europe's energy security was highlighted at the Shusha session. The importance of the "green energy" potential of Karabakh and East Zangazur was emphasized and it was noted that along with energy export routes, Azerbaijan played an important role in the policy of diversification of energy sources.
