Uniper sees Azerbaijan as a very promising renewable energy market, Vice President of Uniper Michael Hilmer said during the German-Azerbaijani Sustainability Forum “Renewable Energy in Azerbaijan,” Report informs.
Azerbaijan has a huge potential in renewable energy, Hilmer said.
He noted that the company has been active in Azerbaijan since 2013 and cooperates with SOCAR as well.
SOCAR and Uniper established a joint venture in the field of industrial efficiency in 2015. The joint venture will increase added value by improving the efficiency of power and steam generation units at SOCAR’s Azerikimya complex in Sumgait city.
Uniper and SOCAR also cooperate in many other areas, including the exchange of experience in the field of technology and energy management, trainings in the field of management and social responsibility.
