In January 2021, Georgia imported 151,779,000 kWh electricity from Azerbaijan, 's Georgian Service informs, citing the Electricity Market Operator of Georgia (ESCO).
According to ESCO, in annual terms, it means a 96% increase.
In the reporting month, the volume of electricity transit from Azerbaijan to Turkey through Georgia amounted to 12,724,000 kWh. It is 51.8% or two times less than in the same period of 2020.
