Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov met with the delegation led by TEPSCO CEO Hideo Kojima in the presence of Japanese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Junichi Wada.
The meeting noted the successful participation of Japanese companies in Azerbaijan's energy projects and that practical cooperation continues in the direction of green energy.
Ideas were exchanged on the development of the renewable energy sector in Azerbaijan, the expansion of the application of environmentally friendly technologies, the integration of large powers of solar and wind energy into the general electric energy system, and the export of green energy. In the context of ensuring the security of the energy system, the Japanese experience in studying and evaluating the effects of renewable energy sources on the electric grid and the possibilities of applying this experience in Azerbaijan were discussed.
