The Algerian government will provide the necessary support to achieve progress in the field of energy with Azerbaijan, Prime Minister of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria Aymen Benabderrahmane said while receiving Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov.
The prime minister assessed the participation of the President of Azerbaijan in the 31st Summit of the League of Arab States as an indicator of high relations between the two countries and asked to convey the greetings of the President of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the head of state.
Shahbazov said that the President of Azerbaijan pays special attention to the development of comprehensive ooperation with Algeria, including in energy. The bilateral discussions held within the framework of this visit and the cooperation document signed in the oil and gas field serve the implementation of this policy.
During the meeting, the sides emphasized the importance of developing economic relations between Azerbaijan and Algeria and exchanged views on the perspectives of cooperation in the field of energy.
