The Serbian and Hungarian authorities have signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the construction of an oil pipeline, which is expected to be connected to Druzhba pipeline on Hungarian territory.
The document was signed by Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó and Serbian Energy Minister Dubravka Đedović at the meeting of Strategic Council for Cooperation between Serbia and Hungary. It takes place in Palic village on Serbian territory near the Hungarian border. It is attended by the presidents of the two countries Aleksandar Vucic and Katalina Novak, as well as the prime ministers Ana Brnabic and Viktor Orban and government members.
Belgrade previously agreed on the construction of a 128-kilometer section of the pipeline with an estimated cost of 100 million euros. The segment will be built between the Serbian city of Novi Sad and Aldjo in Hungary near the border.
