CarsCharge and the supermarket chains RAHAT and BOLMART have established cooperation.
“The number of electric and hybrid cars in Azerbaijan is growing every year. As can be seen from numerous publications by media outlets, one of the government's targets within the framework of the Azerbaijan 2030 strategy is the development of ‘green transport’ in the country. It is no coincidence that Azerbaijan was chosen to host COP29, which is considered the most important event of 2024 for Azerbaijan and a logical continuation of the country's transition strategy to a ‘green economy’.
As we know from media sources, Azerbaijan imported over 3,000 electric vehicles and 14,000 hybrid vehicles last year. In January-June 2024, more than 10,000 hybrid and electric vehicles were imported to the country. As of July 2024, the state has launched 104 electric charging points. As representatives of the private sector, we want to support and develop the segment of electric charging stations in Azerbaijan to make them as accessible as possible for the country's residents,” said businessman Adnan Ahmadzada, founder of the CarsCharge network, in an interview.
According to Ahmadzada, the company has been successfully operating in the Azerbaijani market since October 2023 and has already launched more than 20 electric vehicle charging points. At the moment, agreements have also been reached on cooperation with the supermarket chains GRANDMART and MEGASTORE.
The company plans to launch up to 100 charging stations throughout Azerbaijan every year.
“The supermarket chains RAHAT and BOLMART are among the largest in Azerbaijan, and we are pleased with the established cooperation. I am confident that through joint efforts we will be able to contribute to the sustainable ‘green’ future of Azerbaijan,” the Azerbaijani businessman concluded.
The company also reported that CarsCharge has a mobile application that can be downloaded from Google Play for Android users and the App Store for iOS users, which will make it much easier for users to use charging stations.
