Exchange prices for gas in Europe exceeded $460 on August 12, reaching their highest since early December 2023, according to data from the London ICE exchange.
The cost of September futures on the TTF hub in the Netherlands rose to $467.6 per 1,000 cubic meters, or 41.405 euros per 1 MWh (based on the current euro-dollar exchange rate, ICE prices are presented in euros per 1 MWh), to a maximum since December last year.
Investors are concerned about the situation with gas transit through Ukraine amid military action in the Kursk region.
