Azerbaijan and Sweden have held discussions on cooperation in wind energy projects in the Caspian Sea.
The discussions were conducted during the meeting between director of the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency (AREA) under the Ministry of Energy, and Tobias Lorentzson, Ambassador of Sweden to Azerbaijan. Representatives from the Swedish Emtunga Company also attended the meeting.
During the discussions, the participants shared information about the wind energy potential in the Caspian Sea and onshore, as well as ongoing projects such as the Caspian-Europe Green Energy Corridor and the Central Asia-Azerbaijan Green Energy Corridor.
Both sides exchanged experiences on the development of the energy sector and the transition to green energy in their respective countries.
It was also noted that international support for energy initiatives, such as those discussed at COP29 in Azerbaijan, will enhance the goals related to energy security and the transition to green energy.
