SOCAR reveals volume of condensate, gas produced within Shah Deniz-2 project

From the start of commercial production on June 30, 2018, to December 1, 2024, the Shah Deniz-2 project in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea has produced 11.5 million tons of condensate and 66.6 billion cubic meters of gas, Report informs, citing the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).

On December 17, 2013, the Shah Deniz consortium made the final investment decision for the second stage of developing the Shah Deniz gas and condensate field.

The agreement on exploration, development, and production sharing for the Shah Deniz field was signed on June 4, 1996, and the production sharing agreement (PSA) was ratified on October 17, 1996. The field, located 70 km southeast of Baku, was discovered in 1999.

The project is operated by BP (29.99%), with partners LUKoil (19.99%), TPAO (19%), NICO (10%), and SGC Upstream (21.02%).
