The agreement on the Azerbaijan-Georgia-Türkiye-Bulgaria Green Energy Corridor project has been finalized. This milestone marks a significant step in the regional cooperation for renewable energy transmission between the four countries.
As part of this initiative, the project aims to enhance the integration of green energy sources into the regional electricity grid, facilitating the export of clean energy from Azerbaijan to European markets through Georgia, Türkiye, and Bulgaria. The agreement outlines the key technical, financial, and regulatory aspects necessary for the successful implementation of the corridor.
The Green Energy Corridor project aligns with Azerbaijan’s strategic objectives to increase renewable energy production and expand its role as a sustainable energy provider in the region. It also supports European energy security and the diversification of energy supply sources.
The finalization of the agreement paves the way for further steps in project implementation, including infrastructure development, investment frameworks, and technical cooperation among the involved parties.
