Azerbaijan is taking new steps to expand the use of renewable energy sources in its industrial zones, aligning with the country’s sustainable development and green economy goals.
The Ministry of Economy, in collaboration with relevant institutions, is working to integrate solar and wind energy into the operations of industrial parks and agroparks. The initiative aims to reduce reliance on traditional energy sources and promote environmentally friendly production practices across the country.
Pilot projects have already been launched in several industrial zones, where solar panels and other clean energy solutions are being installed. These projects are expected to lower energy costs, reduce carbon emissions, and increase energy efficiency in industrial operations.
The initiative supports Azerbaijan’s broader commitment to transition towards a green energy model, as outlined in national strategies and international obligations. It also creates new opportunities for innovation and investment in the country’s renewable energy sector.
