President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with the Chairman of Energy China in Beijing to discuss the development of bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, particularly in the field of renewable energy.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the implementation of joint energy projects and emphasized the importance of strengthening investment and technology partnerships. Special attention was given to renewable energy development initiatives and the role of Chinese companies in supporting Azerbaijan’s green transition.
President Ilham Aliyev noted Azerbaijan’s growing potential as a regional green energy hub and invited Energy China to expand its presence and investments in the country’s energy sector. The Chairman of Energy China expressed interest in deepening cooperation and contributing to strategic energy infrastructure projects in Azerbaijan.
The meeting took place as part of President Aliyev’s official visit to China, which aims to broaden economic ties and support sustainable development objectives through international collaboration.
