Azerbaijan and Germany are set to discuss prospects for expanding cooperation in the field of green energy as part of an upcoming bilateral dialogue. The discussions aim to strengthen collaboration on renewable energy development and energy transition initiatives between the two countries.
According to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Energy, the agenda will include opportunities for joint investment in solar and wind energy projects, green hydrogen production, and technology exchange to support both nations’ sustainability goals.
Germany has been a long-standing partner in Azerbaijan’s energy sector and has actively supported the country’s transition to a low-carbon economy. The planned dialogue reflects a shared commitment to climate action and the acceleration of clean energy deployment.
This initiative also aligns with Azerbaijan’s broader strategy to develop international energy partnerships in the lead-up to COP29, which the country will host later this year.
