On May 22, 2025, Director of the Training and Innovation Center of “Azerishiq” OJSC, Araz Mammadov, stated that Turkic-speaking countries have shown great interest in the energy reforms being implemented in the liberated territories of Karabakh.
He emphasized that countries such as Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan are closely following the electrification efforts and innovative energy infrastructure being established in these regions.
According to Mammadov, the projects carried out in Karabakh—including the implementation of smart grid technologies, renewable energy integration, and sustainable energy management systems—serve as a model for many countries in the region. He noted that the achievements of Azerbaijan in rebuilding its power infrastructure in a short period after liberation have drawn attention and appreciation from several international partners.
The statement was made during a press briefing dedicated to the progress of ongoing energy reforms and international cooperation in the field of electricity distribution and infrastructure modernization.
