Azerbaijan and Vietnam to Convene 3rd Intergovernmental Commission Meeting in July

The third meeting of the Azerbaijan-Vietnam Intergovernmental Commission, accompanied by a business forum, is scheduled to take place in July 2025. This decision was reached during an online meeting between the commission's co-chairs, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov and Vietnam's Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien. 

The discussions highlighted the significance of the Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership and other agreements signed during the visit of To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, to Azerbaijan. These documents were acknowledged as pivotal in strengthening bilateral relations between the two nations.

Both parties explored opportunities to expand their strategic partnership into new areas, emphasizing cooperation in trade, investment, energy, agriculture, transport, culture, and other sectors. Azerbaijan's role as a regional energy hub and Vietnam's advancements in the electricity sector and green transition were noted as complementary strengths.

The potential for collaboration in new technologies, renewable energy, hydrogen, infrastructure, logistics, personnel training, and experience exchange was also discussed. The Intergovernmental Commission was recognized as a crucial platform for enhancing bilateral relations and fostering new areas of cooperation.
