SOCAR and IMF Discuss Renewable Energy and Gas Export Infrastructure in Baku Meeting

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has engaged in high-level discussions with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on key energy topics, including renewable energy development and gas export infrastructure.

The exchange of views took place during a meeting with the IMF delegation led by Anna Bordon, head of the IMF mission to Azerbaijan.

The conversation centered on the current development trends in Azerbaijan’s oil and gas sector, production outlooks, investment activities, and strategic initiatives supporting the country’s energy transition.

Renewable energy prospects and infrastructure supporting natural gas exports were also discussed, as both parties emphasized the importance of sustainable energy cooperation and long-term planning for economic and environmental resilience.
