Azerbaijan and Uganda have held talks to enhance cooperation in the oil and gas, mining, and hydropower sectors. The discussions occurred during a meeting between Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Energy, Kamal Abbasov, and Uganda’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, John Mulimba, who is currently visiting Azerbaijan, according to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Energy.
The meeting focused on opportunities to strengthen bilateral ties through collaboration in energy and other fields, highlighting the value of mutual support and knowledge exchange. The Ugandan delegation was informed about Azerbaijan’s efforts in oil and gas, electricity, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and ongoing projects. The talks also covered Uganda’s potential in oil and gas, mining, and hydropower development.
Both sides further discussed additional topics of shared interest to foster deeper cooperation.
