The Trump Route (TRIPP), also known as the Zangazur Corridor, will enhance Azerbaijan’s existing energy infrastructure, such as the Southern Gas Corridor and the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, by introducing new pathways and boosting diversification, according to Azerbaijan’s Deputy Energy Minister Orkhan Zeynalov, speaking at the inaugural Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF 2025).
Zeynalov emphasized that the corridor offers significant flexibility for both the energy sector and businesses. “It opens new routes, not only for conventional energy but also for transmitting electricity, green energy, and hydrogen from Azerbaijan, the Caspian Sea, and Central Asia,” he said. This initiative has the potential to fundamentally reshape the region’s energy interconnections, fostering innovative and sustainable energy transport solutions.
