Trans-Adriatic Pipeline Sees Increased Gas Delivery Requests on October 20

On October 20, 2025, the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP), which transports Azerbaijani natural gas to Europe, recorded a delivery request of 366,941,291 kilowatt-hours (kWh) at its Kipoi entry point in Greece, a 1.93% rise from the previous Monday’s orders, according to TAP’s electronic platform, as cited by Report.

For the week of October 21–27, delivery requests at Kipoi totaled 331,019,866 kWh, reflecting an 8.04% decrease from October 14, an 8.05% drop from October 15–16, a 12.89% decline from October 17, and a 9.79% reduction compared to October 18–19. At Greece’s Komotini exit point, daily gas delivery requests held steady at 28,674,418 kWh for October 20–27, consistent with the prior week.

At the Nea Mesimvria exit point in Greece, TAP recorded 30,346,301 kWh in delivery requests for the same period, unchanged from the previous week, except for October 25, when orders increased to 31,610,730 kWh, up 4.16% from the prior week’s equivalent day. In Italy, the Melendugno exit point saw a request of 297,476,315 kWh on October 20, a 1.83% increase from October 13. However, for October 21–27, requests dropped to 271,999,147 kWh, down 8.56% from October 14, 8.26% from October 15–16, 13.92% from October 17, and 10.2% from October 19. On October 25, Melendugno recorded 283,332,445 kWh, a 6.47% decrease from the previous Saturday.

Completed in October 2020, the 878-kilometer TAP pipeline stretches through northern Greece (550 km), Albania (215 km), the Adriatic Sea (105 km), and southern Italy (8 km). It has been delivering Azerbaijani gas to Italy, Greece, and Bulgaria since December 31, 2020.
