Azerbaijan and China have engaged in talks on developing and exporting both onshore and offshore wind power, as well as solar energy, according to a post by Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov on X, as reported by Report.
During a meeting with Lu Xu, Vice President of China Energy Engineering Corporation Limited, Shahbazov discussed advancing key projects within the framework of the bilateral strategic energy partnership. The agenda included the production and export of offshore and onshore wind and solar energy, expansion of transmission infrastructure, the creation of a Joint Research Center for Green Energy Development, and the supply of equipment for solar power plants with a combined capacity of 760 MW. The two sides reviewed progress on ongoing cooperation and outlined future steps.
