Delegations from Uzbekistan’s Uzbekneftegaz and Azerbaijan’s SOCAR met in Baku to discuss potential cooperation in digital transformation and information security, Uzbekneftegaz announced, as reported by Report.
The Uzbek team gained firsthand insight into SOCAR’s cutting-edge approaches to digitalization, artificial intelligence, automation, and corporate governance. The visit included tours of the Caspian Innovation Center, the SOCAR Carbamide plant, and the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery.
SOCAR specialists delivered presentations on industrial robotics, drone monitoring, AI-driven process optimization, seismic data analysis, large language models, digital twins, smart energy management, and ERP systems.
The delegation also reviewed SOCAR’s advanced corporate governance framework, including executive discipline, document management, real-time analytics dashboards, AI integration, and cybersecurity infrastructure featuring a Security Operations Center, Security Engineering, and Security Compliance divisions.
Both sides described the visit as a significant step toward sharing expertise and developing joint innovation and digital transformation projects.
