Azerbaijan's gas exports continue to expand both in volume and geographical coverage. To date, gas has been supplied via pipelines to a total of 14 countries, including 11 on a regular basis.
This was stated by President Ilham Aliyev in an interview with local TV channels on January 5.
“Some countries purchased gas from us in 2024 but later suspended supplies, preferring other sources. This depends on their demand: supplies start when there is a need and pause when there isn't. Overall, the number of countries we supply with pipeline gas is 14. This year, two more European countries will be added to this list, bringing the total to 16. This is a world record in pipeline gas supplies. No other country supplies as many countries with pipeline gas as Azerbaijan does. Last year, export volumes exceeded 25 billion cubic meters, with potential for growth,” the head of state noted.
