Azerbaijan and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) have discussed expanding cooperation within the framework of associate membership, Azerbaijani Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said in a post on X, Report informs.
"At the meeting with Philippe Metzger, Secretary‑General and Chief Executive Officer of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), we discussed prospects for further expanding cooperation within the framework of Azerbaijan's Associate Membership in the IEC," Shahbazov noted.
According to the minister, the two sides exchanged views on the adoption and implementation of international standards in the fields of energy transition, electrification, and energy efficiency, the deployment of innovative technologies along green energy corridors, and enhancing the active engagement of Azerbaijani experts in the development of IEC international standards.
