Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf and BP Regional President for Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye Giovanni Cristofoli.
The meeting focused on the current state of energy cooperation between Uzbekistan and the two companies, as well as prospects for further development.
Rovshan Najaf and Giovanni Cristofoli were visiting Uzbekistan to participate in the Fuel and Energy Investors Council.
The parties discussed additional practical steps for the development of hydrocarbon fields on the Ustyurt Plateau. BP’s participation in this large-scale project was highly valued.
The importance of advancing new oil and gas projects, establishing long-term supply mechanisms, and expanding sales networks for oil and petroleum products was also emphasized.
